Review by hotel critic
Situated amidst the breathtaking scenery of MGM Wilderness, my recent gourmet getaway was an experience to savor. The culinary offerings at the guest house are nothing short of exceptional. Imagine being invited to a traditional South African Braai night, expertly prepared by Dawie, which provided a delightful blend of flavors under the starlit sky. Mesmerizing was the breakfast, where Elsabe's perfectly cooked omelette stole the show, setting a high bar for morning indulgence. The ambiance at the hotel's dining area was inviting, with a seamless transition from a cozy breakfast setting to a romantic dinner feel. The ability to bring your own takeout and enjoy it in the dining room added a touch of homey comfort to the experience. This unique offering truly allowed guests to customize their culinary journey, making each meal a personalized delight. The proximity to local eateries like Serendipity and The Commonage offered additional dining options, enriching the overall gastronomic adventure during the stay.
